APhA Presents: Managing Stress and Eating Healthy

On Thursday, April 13th, student pharmacists from the newly combined Operation Self-Care and Operation Healthy Lungs hosted an event on how to manage stress and eat healthy. Classes and exams can be overwhelming so a break once and awhile can actually improve stress levels and help with academics.

The event provided students with several activities to decrease stress by making stress balls, playing video games, and coloring.

Some students enjoyed making trail mix and testing their knowledge on how much caffeine is really in our beverages. Did you know a Red Bull has 80mg of caffeine, but a cup of brewed coffee can have 95-200mg of caffeine. If you drink coffee black, you can save 37g of sugar by drinking a cup of coffee rather than going for that Red Bull.  Join us for our next event “Who ‘Nose’ About Allergies,” which will be held at the BCC on April 18th, 2017 from 1:30 – 4pm!
